Bio
Simon was admitted in 2001 and has accumulated two decades’ experience resolving civil litigation disputes by negotiation or contested hearing.
For the past five years, Simon’s focus has been resolving claims for total and permanent disability under superannuation companies, workers compensation matters and corporate trustee regulatory compliance. He has demonstrated an ability to add value to client cases in claims for TPD and superannuation insurance claims, medical negligence, worker’s compensation, administrative appeals, motor vehicle accidents and cases involving serious, life-transforming injuries.
Simon has appeared as counsel in various jurisdictions in South Australia and enjoys advocacy work on behalf of clients, including over 10 years’ pro bono service.
In his spare time, Simon recently completed the Ironman 140.6 miles at Busselton in Western Australia and enjoys mountaineering including climbs at Tititea/Mount Aspiring and Aoraki/Mount Cook in New Zealand, Ama Dablam in Nepal, Weissmies in Europe and Aconcagua in Argentina. Closer to home, he enjoys hiking in the Adelaide Hills and Flinders Ranges, swimming and riding his bike.
