About Rebecca Lucas

Nowhere is Anderson’s slogan ‘Fighting for you’ more accurately embodied than in the person of Rebecca Lucas. Beck works in our Family Law Department and it’s fair to say she is passionate about working with her clients to reach satisfactory and fair out of court settlements.

Perhaps her interest in Family Law was fired up when she was a young kid brought up by a single parent (her Dad) after her parents separated. As a result she saw the court process unfolding and has a deep understanding of the emotional stresses upon parents and children when a family unit breaks down. She knows that if the separation and divorce can stay out of the court system, the emotional burden, stress and costs for her clients is greatly reduced.

Neither was Rebecca’s path to a legal profession easy. She completed her Certificate IV in Legal Practice from TAFE SA which allowed her a direct pathway into Law at University. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws externally through Charles Darwin University and her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Adelaide in October 2015.

Rebecca joined Andersons in 2012 as the Personal Assistant to Ryan Thomas who heads up our Family Law Department. That didn’t last long; she was rapidly promoted to Paralegal and during all the time with the firm she has been closely mentored by the experienced team of lawyers at Andersons.

So it was that as soon as she was admitted as a lawyer we were delighted to appoint Beck as a solicitor in the Family Law Department. “Rising star” is a bit of a cliché but well... just this once. Rebecca predominantly practises from our CBD office but also travels to our Morphett Vale office.

Out of the office Rebecca enjoys getting in the kitchen and baking, reading a good book and getting outdoors for a good workout. She loves to spend time getting involved in charity events and has been involved in charity and community events for several years with the firm and personally, including organising the Andersons Annual Red Nose Day campaign each year.
