Andersons Solicitors would like to announce that Senior Partner and head of our civil law department, Dion McCaffrie has retired from legal practice as of 30 June 2019, after over 43 years of working for Andersons Solicitors.

Dion began his career as an Articled Clerk in early 1976 in our Port Adelaide office. Initially, Dion worked predominately in criminal law. He went on to become a Partner in 1982 and relocated to Adelaide in 1988 where he took over the city practice. Since then, Dion’s focus was on Civil Law.

During his time at Andersons, Dion took on the role of Managing Partner for 13 years from the early nineties to the mid 2000s.

Since then, Dion has worked tirelessly as Senior Partner and is a cherished part of the Andersons family. Despite his retirement from legal practice, we are very pleased to announce that Dion will continue to work for Andersons as our Chief Operating Officer.

Dion will work on a part-time basis, continuing to run the civil law department and managing the firm’s operations.

As part of his new role, Dion hopes to implement a mentoring program where he can share is 44 years of legal expertise with Anderson’s up and coming young lawyers.

“I am very excited to take on this new role and to begin working on a new mentoring program”

“We have 7-8 young, talented lawyers and I think they would benefit from having a decent support structure around them which would both encourage them and help their growth” Said Dion.

Further to this, we are very happy to announce other promotions within the firm. Nestoras Alexandropoulos and Alexander Hicks have both been promoted to Associates. Jeff Widera and John Cronshaw have been promoted to Senior Associates.
